Proud Truwulway/Tasmanian Aboriginal woman and multi-disciplinary artist DENNI also known by the moniker Madam pakana is a seasoned live performer and festival favourite, touring laps of Australia for over a decade with her distinct style of Electronic Hip Hop that threads and infuses elements of Oz Indie and Folk. It's not uncommon for DENNI to incorporate bluesy guitar licks to lush hip hop beats, while moving in and out of English to palawa kani. DENNI has been performing locally and nationally to enthusiastic crowds on the festival scene including Party in the Paddock, Dark Mofo, Yabun, Garma & many more!

With a large and ever-growing catalogue of bona-fide bangers online, you’re bound to notice some top tear collaborations in the studio, with tracks such as 'Keep ya head up'- JK47, ‘Landback’-3%,'Strongest Mob (ft. Craig Everett)' and her Debut Hip Hop EP 'Runaways' produced by NERVE.  A testament to the exciting and authentic grassroots rise of Madam Pakana, which include some stand out milestones in the new mother’s career, such as her language song 'Lutruwita' which was showcased worldwide on the SBS series 'Alone- Australia' and a live performance reciting The Bill of Human Rights for Max Richter's 'Voices' at Dark Mofo.

Whether it’s with the mob, on stage or in the studio DENNI, Madam Pakana, is an authentic, genuine voice for change, Tasmanian Aboriginal pride and truly versatile mainstay in the industry. With her Debut Album announced ‘Butterflies Don’t Sleep’ DENNI remains quiet about details but assures those at her live shows will hear it first.
