Take me to see the world before I die”

“Hurt People” is DENNI at her most raw—an alt-pop release produced with Jacob Farah, it cuts straight to the heart of grief, healing, and the messy space in between. It captures the push and pull of moving forward while still tethered to what’s been lost.

Built from lived experience, the track traces how pain evolves—softening, shifting, and eventually making room for growth. There’s a quiet strength here, a resilience that speaks to losing yourself and finding your way back. At its core, it’s about risking connection again after loss: "I’ve been lying to myself again, said I didn’t need your love, didn’t need a friend.”

And ultimately, it turns toward hope—honouring the past while choosing life, possibility, and what’s still ahead:
